These medications are approved as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management. A prescription is always required, and not everyone who applies will be prescribed a medication. If the prescriber decides GLP-1 therapy is not appropriate for you, they will tell you why.
You are welcome any time. Injection training, and a free weekly in-pharmacy injection for patients who would rather not self-inject, are both available at the pharmacy in Coquitlam. Many of our Vancouver and North Shore patients never make the trip, and that is entirely fine.
